The bounding box defines the volume of brain you have in your normalized
images. For example, you may wish to include more brainstem in your normalized
images. In this case, you would modify the bounding box accordingly.
The greater the volume within the bounding box (above the "grey matter
threshold"), then the more statistical comparisons are effectively made,
so the correction for multiple comparisons is more severe. In this way,
changes to the defaults may influence your results a little.
The spatial normalization rounds the ORIGIN field in the headers to the
nearest voxel when writing the normalized images. Because of this, you
may find that the co-ordinates reported by SPM differ by up to a half of
a voxel.
