An opening is available for a PhD student at the Institute for Physical
Chemistry in the group of Prof. F. Temps at the university of Kiel in
northern Germany. The position is available starting January 1, 1999 for
a period of initially 2 years with the possibility for an extension of 1
additional year. The salary will be according to the German BAT IIa/2
scale, including the standard benefits. With the position comes a
moderate teaching load of typically 2 hours weekly in a physical
chemistry lab course or another course in the institute.
The research interests in the group focus on the areas of gas phase
reaction kinetics, dynamics, atmospheric chemistry, combustion
chemistry, and spectroscopy.
