Dear all
The new issue of Auto/Biography, the journal of the BSA Auto/biography
Study Group which has a new editor (Andrew Sparks of Exeter University) is
out. It has four papers from the conference we ran in Sept 1996 in TCD on
Auto/biographies and national Identities: 'National identities in
auto/biographical films' by Arthur McCullough, of the University of Ulster;
'Telling stories about Irish women,' by Tom Inglis, of UCD; 'Listening to
my grandmother; (re)connecting nationalism and feminism through
intellectual autobiography' by Anne Good, of TCD; and '"Mise Eire": nation
and identity in the work of Eavan Boland' by Eibhlin Evans, of the
University of Hartfordshire.
It is a beautifully produced journal and well worth subscribing to. To
subscribe to the A/B Study Group and the journal, write to Michael Erben,
