Dear Colleague,
The NEW International Journal of Pavement Engineering will be appearing
next year and we are now seeking high quality papers for refereeing. As we
are a new journal, we have not yet built up a big waiting list for
publication. So, if you send your paper to us before the end of January
1999 you stand a good chance of seeing it in print by Summer or early Fall
1999 (subject to the agreement of the referees (at least 3 per paper) who
will check your paper). Papers on ANY topic of pavement engineering are
solicited ( materials / design / performance/ economics / run-off / vehicle
interaction / environmental impact / management / etc. / and, even,
railroad trackbeds ). You can find full details of the journal on our web
page:
http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/~evzard/ijpe.html
We anticipate a quarterly journal with 5 or 6 papers per volume. Our
editorial board comprises:
Govert Sweere (Netherlands); Regis Rodrigues (Brasil); Ray Rollings (USA);
Ray Bonaquist (USA); Per Ullidtz (Denmark); Linda M Pierce (USA); Judy
Corley-Lay (USA); Jacob Uzan (Israel); Henry Kerali (UK); Gerhard Kennepohl
(Canada); Geoff Jameson (Australia); Fwa Tien Fang (Singapore); Bryan
Pidwerbesky (New Zealand); Bob Lytton (USA); Atsushi Kasahara (Japan);
Antonio Gomes Correia (Portugal); Andre Molenaar (Netherlands), John Waters
(UK)
We hope this journal will be the key journal for pavement engineers and of
use to practicioners and researchers. Accordingly we
have invited several eminent pavement engineers to contribute review /
states-of -the art papers. This approach means that we are
seekingbest-practice and case-record papers too. If you think you have
something interesting and valuable to contribute, but are uncertain about
the presentation 'shape' required for the Journal, please call or e-mail
one of the editors who will be happy to provide advice.
We are looking forward to your contribution.
