Dear Mailbase
It has been announced that the International Olympic Committee has added
insulin to its list of banned substances at the Sydney Olympics. Competitors
who test positive to insulin must prove they are a diabetic or risk
disqualification.
Exactly why has it been banned.
I have come across a truck driver who increases his insulin dosage and well
as increasing his coke cola intake to allow him to continue driving without
needing rest breaks. The loss of some toes was bit of an inconvenience for
him.
Paul
