I enjoy the current exchanges very much and would like to raise a few
more issues.
1. Would appreciate any info re disability markers used in studies with
common cold pts.I am familiar only with the French questionnaire on
rhinitis based on SF-36, which is not exactly tailored for common cold.
2.Which are the most popular agents used in controlled exposure studies,
and why?
3. Is a nose ever free of a rhinovirus infection?
4. Military studies on effects of temperature and humidity on
susceptibility to infection were probably done in some countries back in
the 30-50's- Anyone has access to reports?
5. How important is nose blowing in reducing illness of a child? Any
original ideas on how to train children to blow their noses properly?
6. As you know, Israel enjoyes a moderate (environmental) climate most
of the year, and we spend much time outdoors. I am not impressed with
different prevalence here compared, for instance, with Canada, but then
I am not aware of comparative epidemiological studies.Anyone familiar
with studies which include both virological and clinical data?
