                          Spectroscopy from the Laboratory to Space

The 1998 Annual Meeting of the High Resolution Spectroscopy Group will
be held jointly with the Astrophysical Chemistry Group at Hugh Stewart
Hall on the main campus at the University of Nottingham and in the
adjacent lecture facilities.

Programme
The meeting will start on the Sunday evening and finish at tea on the
Tuesday.  The programme will primarily be centred on contributions
from young researchers.  On the Sunday evening there will be two
tutorial lectures given by Professor Geoff Duxbury and Dr. Ian
Crawford.  On the Monday the conference will also host the RSC
Interdisciplinary award lecture given by Professor Peter Sarre and
Association of British Spectroscopists 1998 lecture.  The will be a
poster session and an exhibition on the Monday afternoon.  The final
programme will be available in early December (see the HRSG web page
at http://www.soton.ac.uk/~jgf/hrsg.html).

cold: High resolution spectroscopy in liquid helium clusters",
Professor John Brown (Oxford) " The FeH2 radical: The story so far",
ABS lecture, Professor K. DeLange (University of Amsterdam),"Laser
photoelectron spectroscopy: mixed traits of excited states"
