Senior Lecturer/Lecturer
Applications are invited for a position which may be filled at either Senior lecturer or Lecturer
level, depending upon the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
The School offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in
Mechanical, Industrial and Aeronautical Engineering and has a strong team of dedicated staff
and excellent facilities, with good support from industry. The BSc(Eng) degrees in these branches
are fully accredited by the Engineering Councils of both South Africa and the United Kingdom.
Qualifications: a first degree in engineering and relevant higher qualifications, together with
academic/industrial experience: an interest in manfacturing technology/design for manufacture/
computer integrated manufacturing.
Duties: undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research: supervision, initiation and
prosecution of research, particularly collaboration with industry. A limited amount of
consulting work of a specialised nature is encouraged.
Salary: salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and the level of appointment.
