General meeting of the Scottish Renaissance Seminar (for members only)
The three morning papers focus on Montgomerie in particular by three
experts who have devoted much of their research time to Montgomerie in the
last few years. That is followed by the real thing, 9 songs of Montgomerie
in musical performance (cd hopefully on sale). After a revitalizing lunch
(NOT included in the conference fee!) in one of the many eateries just off
campus, the afternoon programme widens its scope to look at Scots court
poetry of Montgomerie's period more generally.
All in all this promises to be an excellent international tribute to one
of Scotland's finest, and should interest both those who know his work and
those who want to find out about Scots writing of the Renaissance.
Price (pay on the door)
£6.00 (includes tea / coffee) £3.00 for Scottish Renaissance Seminar
members
There will be an opportunity to join the Scottish Renaissance Seminar on
the day, before and during the conference (£5.00 unwaged, £7.50 waged).
