The new London Virtual Reality Group website is now live at:

www.lvrg.org.uk

Here you can find the aims of the group, details of previous meetings,
group members and 'news' items.

Our aim is to make the website dynamic and supportive of the LVRG
community, whilst keeping maintenance to a minimum. Our first step
towards this has been the introduction of a 'database' driven site
(using FMPro). What this means is:

- you can now sign up as a member of the group at the website, by
entering your details into a simple form
- you can post items of news of interest to the LVRG community at the
website
- improved search facilities for members, news and meetings

Any feedback on the site is very much appreciated.

We are asking *all* members to sign up again. This keeps details up to
date and saves us a couple of weekends transferring the members from the
old site :-) When you enter your details, please double check before you
post them up; for the time being you cannot edit your details after they
have been posted, the web-support team have to do that for you! We will
sort this out in time.

Membership to the London Virtual Reality Group is free and open to
everyone. *Please pass these details on to anyone you think might be
interested.*

As we have now held over 16 meetings (!), it is taking us a while to get
all the details transcribed to the website. All the details will be up
to date by Jan 99.

We will be running a special series of meetings through 1999 - details
to follow shortly. 

I'd like to thank  c | or | d  for the considerable time and resources
they have put in to creating the new site. I would also like to thank
Filemaker Pro (Apple) for donating the database software.
