Hi
Real time, your perception of time fluctuates.
VR is an abstraction in mathematics of some elements of reality. VR is
the use of this abstraction to simulate an experience. The VR experience
grows from your model reality be it 3D or 2D. The only goal of VR is to
be more real to a user.
So your in the future I could see that our individual VR's will be an
abstraction of a reality built on elements the we each percieve as
important. We see the same thing but we don't, if you see what I mean.
VR is trying to tell us too much about our enviroment and knowing
restricts how we can use these environments.
What about a VR built on the idea of the inkblot test where reality is
the sense you try to make of it.
Hem, Hem, My first theory.
I had this theory for a while that I came up with because I was crap at
computer games. I decided that I was processing the 2D images into 3D
where as those who were more successful were simply responding to the
patterns flicking across the screen. I reasoned that they had learned
the 2D movement had codified the comparitively limited sets of movement
involved and could respond very quickly to any action performed.
Food for thought, maybe!
without meaning you can not be understood
Liam
