Dear List members,
Below you will find a few paragraphs from Rowland Atkinson, who has
recently joined the LS discussion list. Dr Atkinson used the LS for his
PhD on gentrification and displacement. (Details of this may be found on
the CLS web site. The relevant URL is:

I am re-posting this message, along with several others which
unfortunately did not arrive due to a technical problem.
Best wishes,

I am not currently planning on using the LS for more research though it
will be a distinct possibility in the future. As far as introductions go....
Im a research fellow at Urban Studies, University of Glasgow. During my
doctorate at the University of Greenwich I used the LS to explore the
linkages between gentrification and displacement by using a reaggregation
of wards to form borough sized units based on a geography of
professionalisation in London. My interests remain in neighbourhoods and
issues of housing injustice though I am currently researching legal
remedies for anti-social tenants.
