I'd want to know why this came about in the first place. Was it seen as a
solution to a problem, perhaps - such as which of them should instruct the
children? If the children's liturgy was led parents, there would be no need
for either priest to <duck out> . We've been doing this for some time in
our parish as we've never had a resident priest and need to take a degree
of responsibility if the parish is to survive. It took a while to get going
but it works well now, with support from the diocesan education team. An
added spin-off is that it provides a focus for adult formation (the
parents) as well.
