Dear Colleague,
This list is focused on the social and ethical impacts of information and
communication technologies. It promotes an inclusive approach to the
subject and can be used for discussion, calls for participation and
announcements. The list is intended to be of interest to academics,
individuals, businesses, communities, organisations and those involved in
government at local, national and international levels.
The scope of interest of the list is the full range of actual and
potential impacts of computing and related technologies on society and its
citizens. This interest can be expressed through items of relevance to
research, to teaching and to consultancy.
While some of the information will be primarily of interest to academics,
and the tone is largely academic, participation by non-academics is
warmly welcomed.
