HPiC Website News aims to keep readers up to date with recently launched
internet websites in the field of health promotion. The newsletter
contains health information and campaign sites, sites of relevant
organisations, and sites which are recommended as good examples of
design for the internet. The newsletter is compiled every two weeks.
Additionally if you require bibliographic references to health promotion
publications, resources or articles the HealthPromis database may be

9-11th September in Stockholm, Sweden. The conference theme is "A Health

The Australian Institute of Family Studies is an independent statutory
authority which holds research and information on family wellbeing.
Their information pages contain relevant abstracts from Current
Australian Journals (a current awareness service updated weekly),
conference and course listing,  links, research and information
resources. Three databases which can be accessed through this site are
the AIFS Library Catalogue, the National Child Protection Clearing House
Programs Database and the National Youth Suicide Prevention Strategy
Prevention Activities and Programs Database.

HELP - the Health Education Library for People is India's first Consumer
Health Education Resource Centre, and one of the world's largest
consumer health libraries, as determined by the Medical Library
Association, USA. This site provides a searchable online reading room,
which includes full text books and articles on a wide range of topics.
The site also includes information about health and medicine in India.

variety checklist and is promoted in collaboration with the Australian
Nutrition Foundation.

This new site will be fully available in October 1998. The Regional
Office was established in 1995, and it's website provides information on
the activities of the organisation. Presently information is available

to join. Information expected includes policy papers, projects,
newsletters, members and health promotion conferences in the region.

A large amount of information from Australia's Monash University. Some
of the information is specific to the state of Victoria in Australia
e.g. health events list and organisational contact details although the
site links to international content. There is information about the
Monash Health Promotion Unit, online lectures, guidelines on starting a
project, online discussion, health promotion leaflets, the internet
journal of health promotion, list of publications.

Project HOPE (Health Opportunities for People Everywhere) provides
health education, health policy research, and humanitarian assistance in
over 70 countries. This site provides information about the projects of
the organisation, news, and access to the Health Affairs journal.

RDInfo is a new data source of health related research funding
opportunities. The database is fully searchable by amount, area of work
and subject area, and contains details of over 750 funding sources
ranging from the MRC to small research charities.  Over 1100 individual
grant awards are listed across the healthcare spectrum.
