Computer Science Journals
An index of tables of contents for over 200 computer science journals.
Users can browse the latest available tables of contents, search each
journal individually or search across all journals. Search options
include title, author and keywords; searches can be limited by
publication year, journal title, and volume number.
Usable Web: Guide to Web Usability Resources
A collection of links and information about human factors, user
interface issues, and usable design specific to the World Wide Web,
such as access, animation, design, speed, navigation, multimedia,
searching, applets, frames and style sheets.
Wotsit's File Format Collection
An extensive collection of file format specifications, including JPEG
image files, wave sound files, Rich Text files, and common database
and word processing files such as Paradox and WordPerfect. All of the
specifications are very technical and are directed towards
programmers. Users can subscribe to a mailing list for notification of
updates.
Exploring Windows NT
Offers tips and techniques for Microsoft Windows NT professionals,
with source code listings, sample files and featured articles on
topics such as NTFS and use of the command prompt in Windows NT 4.

BookWhere Searchable Databases
List of hundreds of library catalogues and other information databases
that can be searched using the Z39.50 protocol using BookWhere
software, which has a pre-configured list of available hosts and
databases. Includes a virtual demonstration of the software.
AcqWeb's International Directory of E-mail Addresses of Publishers, Vendors
and Related Professional Associations
Directory of over 3000 entries maintained for the benefit of the
library community, in particular, acquisitions, serials and collection
development librarians. The aim is to provide a register of email
addresses for communication with publishers, vendors and associate
resources. Addresses for general enquires, ordering and requesting
sample issues are included as well as direct links to WWW on-line
enquiry and ordering forms.
IMS Metadata
Details of the Instructional Management Systems Project (IMS) which is
developing a specification and software for managing online learning
resources in order to assist effective discovery and management of
educational materials, including intellectual property rights,
commerce, and customisation of learning experiences.
European Commission Library Catalogue
A catalogue containing over 172,000 catalogued records from the
European Commission Library. Information is retrieved by basic or
advanced searches and by language or document type. Searches can be
conducted in English and French. Records include journal articles,
books, conference proceedings and Internet resources (mostly
documents). The service is free but registration is required.
Cydfenthyca Cymru - Interlending Wales
Joint venture of the library and information community in Wales
providing a centre for document supply. Co-operative project between
unitary authorities, higher and further education institutions,
specialist libraries and associates.

An exhibition of common, everyday objects to tell stories about
people, their cultures and the meanings they associate with their
possessions. Items discussed, organised by theme, era and object,
include a 1937 chemistry set, a Vietnam memorial offering, a duckpin

Celebrating Women's History Resource Centre
Information about important events and women in the history of the

Gender Inn: Women's and Gender Studies Database
Gender Inn is a database of over 5000 records about feminist theory,

AsianDOC: Asian Database Online Community Electronic Newsletter
The goal of this newsletter is to support, and promote communication
among, scholars, librarians and researchers who are developing text
and image databases in the various fields of Asian and Eurasian

The Last Word

Saccharomyces Genome Database
SGD is a scientific database of the molecular biology and genetics of
the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is commonly known as baker's

registry.
Angiosperm DNA C-Values Database
A database of DNA C-values. Access to this database is free but the
user must provide an email address as well as the genus of interest.
Search results include taxon, family, 4C DNA amount, entry number and

3-D Insects
A collection of three dimensional images of insects. Includes beetle,
ant, mantis, flea, and wasp. Each section contains several pointers to

Cetacean Research Unit Whale Information Center
