We are now at the mid-point of the Institute of Information Scientists'
May professional development course. This Friday (15 May) the theme is
a review of the latest technologies for information management, with
emphasis on text retrieval systems, CD ROMs and the impact of the new
technologies on users. As usual the course will be led by Phil Bradley;
the specialist contributors will be John Lindsay, Reader in Information
Systems Design at Kingston University and
Charles O'Rourke of Dataware Technologies.
The final two days of the course will be on Presentation and Training
(22 May) and on Electronic Publishing (29 May).
The Course is held in Central London at the TFPL Training Suite, 17
Britton Street, London E.C.1.
GBP 130 per day + VAT (110 for IIS Members).
