We have started to print receipts for circulation transactions with our
Dynix system. Receipts give the title and barcode of the items issued to
a borrower, together with the due date and, where appropriate, due time.
The idea is that we will give each borrower a receipt rather than
stamping the date on the slip in the book. This already happens with our
self-issue workstations. We can also print workslips when items are
returned that have been recalled.
I would be very interested, and grateful, to know if library management
systems other than Dynix support receipt printing.
Very many thanks
