- Practical help in drawing up a disaster plan
Although it is accepted that every business operation should have a
business plan, very few in practice do. Most always think that disaster
occurs to other organisations and not their own. You will learn from
the speakers on this course that disasters can and do happen to any
organisation. Whether you are in the information centre of a company or
a public or academic library, a plan is necessary.
This course is aimed at managers of libraries and information centres
who, in the event of a disaster, would have the responsibility of
putting their own operation back together again. The course will help
you anticipate the problems which arise after each disaster. It will
give you the basis for drawing up your own disaster plan and the
confidence to know that if the worst happens you will be able to
"survive".
