INFORMATION SERVICES CENTRE (COMPUTER SERVICES)
WEB SITE ASSISTANT
Goldsmiths Web Site is undergoing major redevelopment. We need a flexible,
able person to assist in this redevelopment, especially in the conversion
of existing published material to HTML and the incorporation of images
from the College's photographic library. At times the work will be
pressurised, and applicants must be able to work without direct
supervision.
The Web Site Assistant will work under the direction of Andrew Aird, the
Web Site Manager, in the Information Services Department.
THE PERSON:
You will need to have:
· a thorough understanding of HTML 3.2 including creating nested framesets
and forms;
· experience of creating web pages, preferably in an academic or
publishing environment;
· skills in the use of a (preferably PC/W95) web authoring package;
· ability to pay close attention to detail and to handle complex text.
Desirable:
· experience in use of graphics software (such as CorelDraw7 or
PhotoShop);
· knowledge of Microsoft Office 97 and Internet Assistant;
· graphic design skills.
(6 month temporary post from end of April 1998)
Salary will be on the minimum point of CRA grade 3; £10,881 per annum plus
£2,134 per annum London Weighting Allowance.
