IAML(UK) presents a one-day course on Thursday December
10th 1998 at the Faculty of Music, Oxford University.
Advanced reference sources for music librarians
The course is designed to give public and academic music
librarians the confidence to use their reference sources effectively,
the ability to choose the most appropriate sources for their libraries,
and the chance to discover a wide range of printed and electronic
material. Any librarian who is faced with music queries should get
value from this course, whether or not they are working in a
substantial music library.
Course participants will be encouraged to give the training team
prior notice of any particular music queries that may have caused
them problems, and also of any specific printed or electronic
sources about which they would like to learn more.
There will be regular opportunities throughout the day for
participants to ask questions of the training team, and a maximum
of 20 places has been set for the course.
The training team:
John Wagstaff, Librarian of the Faculty of Music, University of Oxford
Julie Crawley, also from the Faculty of Music, web-page organiser
for IAML(UK)
