The FE Resources for Learning programme aims to help FE-sector colleges get
the best out of Information and Learning Technologies.
The programme of sector briefing days is run by colleges who have made
significant developments in the use of ILT to support learning.
Take this opportunity to find out what colleagues are doing!
Remaining briefing days this term are:
Newcastle College has created a significant learning resources service,
including two IT centres, three libraries, a media technology centre, a
graphics centre and a variety of curriculum workshops.
Briefing day on Thurs.12 November.
Newark and Sherwood College's briefing day will provide an overview from the
Principal of how the college's developments sit alongside national issues,
ideas for developing an ILT supported learning resources and an insight into
"total cost of ownership"
Briefing day Thurs 19 Nov.
Halton College will demonstrate how they have used video conferencing to
widen participation and how the college has integrated IT into the general
curriculum delivery. You will have the opportunity to visit Learning centres
such as the Key Skills Centre, Language Centre and view the college
Intranet.
