While the British Library keeps comprehensive sets of all British and Irish
university calendars, our holdings of prospectuses are more selective, as
you have noticed. Of course the format and title of prospectuses will vary
from one institution to another.
I hope other suggested sources for prospectuses prove fruitful.

Does the BL keep all UK university prospectuses? Do the National
Libraries of Scotland, Wales and Ireland keep all Scottish, Welsh and
Irish ones (respectively)? I should have thought that propectuses
were better retained by each university in its own archives. Is
there a need for a central repository of such?
Can the same be said of university calendars? To what extent (if at
all) should we be keeping each others? What are our users'
expectations, as well as our own? We are asking these questions at
Edinburgh University Library as part of examining ourcollection
retention policies, and look forward to other comments on lis-link
from colleagues.
