It is worth contacting your local EDC and looking at the texts of
three judgments of the European Court of Justice in cases between
Magill TV Guide and RTE,BBC and ITV. The judgments summarise European
law and the Berne Convention on Copyright in this regard. The
reference is ECR (European Court reports) (1991) II-485-613
Not light reading, I'm afraid!
