We are currently drowning in passwords for networked services.
Having just made wider access to some services we now have passwords for
ATHENS services, FT Profile, Mintel (on the Web), Current legal information
(on the Web), Estates Gazette, our exam papers, Times Higher and more.
The simple thing to do would be to put a list by the workstations, but of
course that is not acceptable to suppliers. The present alternative is for
users, whether on an unstaffed floor in the library or on some other part of
the campus, to contact the enquiry desk every time. There has to be an easier
way - script files?
If anyone has solved the problem let me know.
I will summarise results.
