Information Services National Training Organisation (ISNTO)
The Joint Chairs of the Information & Library Services Lead Body are
inviting Heads of Services and their representatives to a series of
regional meetings to discuss the ISNTO concept.
The DfEE insist upon each NTO being "employer-led", i.e. there must be
clear evidence that employers are committed to the creation and
operation of their NTO. In our context, "employers' in practice means
Heads of Service - involved directly and not just through representative
bodies.
Full details are given on The Library Association's Web site:

You will also find a short paper telling you what an NTO is for, and
what are the advantages to our sector of having one. There is a list of
the Joint Chairs of the Lead Body and the ISNTO consultant for comments
and queries relating to ISNTO.
