Thanks James . That is a very good point and an issue that I feel will
become ever more topical.
I have asked permission of my patient to give some details about the
condition over the internet. In particular I explained that through my
lurking with the GP-UK mailing list in particular I was sure to find someone
who could move us in the right direction. I find GP-UK a GREAT source of
information, support and humour.
You are right however with a bit more thought I could have phrased a more
general question.
I have had some private emails as a result which have been wonderful. I am
printing out all replies and am due to see the patient in a week to go
through them all with her.
Thanks for the ticking off... we must be ever vigilent with patient
confidentiality (especially when they are Barristers!!)
