Is this a fair summary?
I would like a facility which enabled me to seek other GPs' perspectives
upon complex "GP" problems where simple anonymisation would not prevent
identification of the patient.
About a dozen GP members have expressed an interest either privately or to
the list.
There are problems with security even on a "secure" dedicated list and we
would need some form of encryption to prevent interception from outside the
group.
Could one have a sort of group PGP thing? Out of my depth here and I suspect
one of the cases will be resolved before the NHSnet firewall arrives in my
house :-(
I am not in any way trying to divert clinical stuff from gp-uk. The sort of
problems I have in mind could not be discussed in a public forum and
therefore would be no loss to the list.
Thanks for all replies
Peter
