er not random.
They start off by picking out a category of claim, then retrieve the
names and addresses of all patients involved for say a quarter.
eg all contraceptive advice claims, or travel immunisations, or
night visits
then they call, producing a list at that point, and expect to see a
clinical note about each patient relating to the item in question.
The travel imm electronic claims (although not the paper claim
forms) already have the destination of travel.
Personally, I think they should ring you up and ask you, but they
find it easier to visit the practice.
