I thought I was being really light ;-) Go on, the list has been so
timid lately, time we had some sparklers ;-)
<lecture> :-) :-)
I am the first to support and encourage new users of the medium. That
does not mean that every Dick, Tom and Harriet can include my name in a
distribution list running into hundreds without asking my permission first!
This is a basic right to privacy that I'll defend till I die.
This is done for the interest of new users as much as old hacks and
safeguards our future in an Internet that values the privacy of the
individual. One of the reasons gp-uk is successful is that we all do
that. GP-UK is remakably free of spamming. Long may it live :-)
'epulse' is a commercial business operation. It should be run as such
observing the strictest code of conduct available.
These are the very basics of the 'communities-in-silicon' that many of
us have been arguing and fighting for. If the pros can't get quality
stamped all over their existence, what hope does the consumer have?
I did include few smileys in the post though! I just didn't want to be
a target for future 'your very special offer this month from eulse
is...' ;-)
Not a very comforable precdent when all the other comics join in.
