Probably too much email traffic!
Totally agree - too little funding will lead to the collapse to PCGs. the
only reason fundholding was "successful" in some people's eyes was the
"generous funding" in the initial phase to allow for innovation. We need to
remember that we are not the agent of rationing but to use patient advocacy
in the light of efficient spending for health. We are to improve health NOT
budget balancing!

We all know the 'fuel' is never going to be enough, hence Level 1 is the
best
way to start. The HAs and the government will then have to take the flack,
if
the BMA/GPC do their job properly, which on current evidence-based-
practice is highly unlikely :-(
