Herewith the preliminary job description for our board members.
For the chairman I suppose you could just add "can carrier in the
event of screw ups"!
Did I blow the confidentiality clause already!?

No, but I would look first to the descriptions used for the chairman
of the board or managing partner of a medium-sized professional firm
such as a solicitor or accountant partnership (the biggest of which
are tending to incorporate as limited companies) of say 60
professionals.
Try: The Chairman is responsible for the firm delivering a proper
level of income to the partners by means of the efficient
performance of the business of the firm and through its
relationships with its major contractors and business partners.
The Chairman will be expected to bear in mind the responsibilities to
stakeholders and employees in the firm.
The business of the firm is the health of the citizens in its area
and through the good offices of the management of the NHS it is to
be anticipated that the maximum attainment of the aims above will be
congruent with the maximum benefit to the citizens.
