Don't forget that you don't work in a free market with open competition for
patients. The number of and where GPs can work is restricted by the Medical
Practice Committee. So as long as you provive a basic service you will
always get some patients.
That is why the sale of Goodwill was banned with the start of the NHS 50
years ago.
