David,
You are not likely to do a worse job than any of the current HA chairmen,
simply because you do at least understand the process of healthcare. All you
have to do is ensure that you get a good chief officer appointed, read the
HSCs and keep an eye on what the board gets up to.
Rule one is don't kill yourself in the process, don't start early or go home
late, take two hours off for lunch and make sure you get at least two half
hour tea breaks.
