Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is pretty much established as a
manifestation of depression due to lack of light.
Little or no sun causes lack of bright light.
This is further exacerbated by the way we organised modern life by
having artificial lighting just enough for reading etc.
Basically, we live in a dark, gloomy and dismal environment. Add to
that dampness and the resultant high incidence of silent, disguised,
latent or manifest local and or systemic yeast infections, you end up
being very grateful for being alive at all!
I get really horrible when there is not enough ambient light. Can't
stand winters and I fear of body rust because of the permanent dampness
everywhere.
Why can't I just go and live in the tropics or a desert place? I would
if I could but I can't.
