Easy. Put up all common drugs (those inthe national formulary
anyway) in strips of uniform width.
These are dispensed from spools through rollers set to elongate and
thin them to give the correct dosage in a square of the standard
size.
Each square is then coated with a non-reactive gum, the squares per
patient are stacked and squeezed into one Allsort per dose.
The specification for slow release layers (microspheres in the
strip) and the rules determining which drugs go on the top and
bottom versus inside the Allsort, and the formulation of the gum are
merely technical exercises.
