Yes, but with the NHS pittance that is paid it's usually sent off to be
compounded specially for 10 times the price. I find it incredible that the
NHS will happily pay more for just the P&P on a special than it will pay a
pharmacist to make it up on the premises.

Mixtures, ointments, creams, powders, capsules Yes. Suppositories if I must.
Pill rolling - sorry I don't have the skills any more (and probably not the
gold leaf).

You mean you've not heard of St Luke's Cough and Bronchial Mixture -
Available on FP10 or OTC. Just as effective either way.
