Chris,
I believe this refers back to the days when prescriptions were actually
compounded to a physician's order as opposed to being counted out of a
large bottle into a smaller one. Used to do that myself on occasion and
Dad had his favorites pre-printed and in pigeonholes.
T'would be a brave physician that shipped one of these off to a
pharmacist today, methinks.
