Over the summer I had a 14 yr old whose parents demanded an immediate home
visit for eara ache. The busy coop doctor asked them to come the half-mile
to the centre, they refused and got a visit. The family had got back from
holiday in thailand, driven from london to East yorkshire and literally
phoned the doc the moment they got through the door (suitcases in the
hallway not unpacked). The kid had had ear ache for 7 days, was getting
better, not even given a PCM nor did they see the 5-star hotels doc in
thailand (fully insured too). The COOP doc rightly gave them a mild ticking
off, resulting of course in a complaint. They had also driven past the COOP
centre on the way home.
