But Declan, you have already faced that step and *come out* as it were.

not necessarily emotionally immature - but of a different emotional
make-up.

Agreed 100%.

You would know them or get to know them.
They would provide your general medical care as your GP, but instead of
them being rooted, you become the place of work.
It may be they do have *patches* where many of the doctors in an area
are their patients.
You would have choice as much as you have choice now.
I envisage the doctors not as junior locums filling in time, but as
senior experienced colleaugues, maybe ex-GPs, who have a permanent role
in caring for all aspects of a doctor's health. I appreciate a
secondary care system is required too, and don't belittle the technical
problems in creating an all encompassing caring service for doctors.
Having gone through all that you have, do you not think you are able to
understand many stresses and strains the rest of us face?
Do you not think a word or too of advice and/or comfort from you would
be helpful to other doctors?
Now you have moved outside the system can you not see the situation
objectively? Would you not be a good person to advise the decision
makers on how an *occupational health* service should operate?
The more I think about it the more important I believe an *accessible*
doctors for doctors service is.
