It seems as though I need to apologise .. mea culpa!
I would like some serious guidance from the list
Recently I have been asking for information on who has received which
official documents on which they were supposed to take action - and as I
would expect the people who should have received them them to be on more
than one of the mailing lists to which I subscribe, I apologised for
cross-posting; save you having to read it more than once!
Should I have:-
1.posted to each list *without* reference to the fact that they would
appear identically on another list?
2.include the fact that they might appear twice in your mailbox in the
heading?
3.leave you to assume that if the heading is the same, the text will
also be the same (not safe on GP-UK!;->>) ?
I find the knowledge that this is a cross posting useful , especialy for
conference announcements - and looking at the list of addresses to which
it has been sent *may* give a view of the intended target audience..
