In response to the comments about my position and future I can assure that I'm still very much around.
As you can see from my new sig file I am becoming a professional chairman !!!
Of course the truth is I had to make this move in order to find time to read GP-UK!!!
I'll still be involved in Meditel on a day-to-day basis but will be concentrating on the strategy and external politics as well as taking on a broader Group role particularly around the EHR, PCGs and GP-Pharmacy links.
Our new MD John Souter is a world class expert in software quality - Not always, I regret, Meditel's strongest suit. He will be concentrating on process improvement and has already surprised people a Meditel by making a commitment not to have any re-organisations or change any people until process issues have been addressed. He has a strong view that such changes rarely solve problems and I find this approach refreshing.
It may take John a while to sort out one or two bits of the legacy I've left him, but I think that together we are a winning combination and you can expect to see Meditel go from strength to strength.
Apologies if anyone see this as an advertisement - but I only trying to answer questions posed on the list.

Congratulations to chairman Ewan. Outward facing doesn't mean prior
to outward moving I trust.
>Watch out for licensing -
Meditel's licence is a non-exclusive licence in perpetuity, in other
words if you buy it you can use it forever, support is a separate
matter.
This is the licence we should all be looking for.
Licences renewable annually are a rip-off and you should beware of
any company offering them.

Meditel get high marks from me for honesty about their products,
other companies in the market could indeed learn.
