We have used the histofreezer fro years, very successfully. It is certainly
less powerful than Liquid Nitrogen, but also much less severe in its
effects, and much less painful afterwards.
My best two sucesses were two girls in their late teens who had both had one
very large verruca covering all of one heel, with a "kissing lesion" on the
other forefoot. Both had had failed liquid N2 therapy at the local clinic,
and both had had the lesions for more than three years. Over the next 6
months I managed to clear all of the verrucae - but they had to attend every
2-3 weeks for treatment! The minor surgery fees compensate nicely for the
cost (circa UKP55-60) of a cannister, although I usually do twice as many
procedures per quarter as we are allowed.
