I was on the OXMIS to Read conversion group, and the lack of plain simple
"death" as a code was raised regularly. We were able to have access to a
list of the most common OXMIS codes used, and worked through these, trying
to ensure a good/better match for these. As a consequence, some of the most
common OXMIS codes were added, and are present in the latest release of
Version 2 Read.
So, these were some of the common codes that were added to Read:
Death= 22J.. 12
Acute left otitis media= F526
Acute right otitis media= F527
But how many Read code users know these exist? How do the various GP
computing companies notify you of what is in the latest quarterly release?
