Indeed.
My father was gone by the time I got up in the morning for most of my
young life.. commuting to the MOD in London. I *sometimes* saw him in
the evening for a brief while
(Of course that was before I went off to boarding school from the age of
10 onwards)
I have seen *far* more of my children growing up than my parents, but I
still resent the times I haven't spent with them. If only the Co-op had
come into being twenty years ago!
