No, seriously - a usable occupational health system please.
I do not mean the BMA stress line which is always engaged.
I do not mean a doctor who you are sent to see to have a chest Xray and
hepB done.
I do not mean just ensuring we are all registered with a GP.
I do not mean fast track to the local surgeon for endoscoping.
*Usable* is the operative word.
That means confidential, approachable, accessible 24 hrs a day.
It means not queing in outpatients alongside your own patients.
It means not being allocated a bed in the middle of a 6 bed room in your
local DGH.
It means not having your own notes stored in that *special drawer* that
all your staff know contains the doctor's medical records - unlocked!
Too much to ask?
