Hang on a mo, Graham:
Who's comparing with footballers and management consusultants?
Compare yourself with a 40 something working as a partner in a law or
accountancy firm for starters.
Better still, compare yourself with average earnings of average
hospital consultant including average private income.
Even if you exclude the private income, the consultant is already ahead
because he does not have to pay any overheads, locum cover when on hols
and yet able to work max p/t.
