There are indeed demands for private services to "fill the gaps" What evidence
have you to believe that there is a demand for the entire primary care service
to be private?

So what? The reality is that you are not going to scrap NHS provided primary
care. Most will not have the "courage" you require and unless you get the
majority to agree with you the idea is doomed to failure.
