My grandfather was a GP before the NHS - according to what I've heard, a
GPs life was not idyllic in those days either - *especially* if you
didn't specialise in diseases of the rich! ;->>
I have emigrated three times (more or less.. ;-<<) and returned each
time because I do prefer the NHS +/- this country to the other systems
and places I've tried.
The NHS is the most economical and, *if it was properly funded* would be
one of the most efficient systems available for delivering health care
to the majority of the population.. you get what you pay for, after all!
The NHS is good value for very little money!

"Thou shalt not kill but need not strive, officiously, to keep alive"?
I *resent* being forced into diverting so much time from looking after
patients to deal with the latest political fad. Remeber 1989? Rubber
Windmill predicted the Internal Market would crash in 5-7 years.. almost
got it right!

PS KT, I've got this little word revision running through my head.. "I'd
rather be a spanner than a ? - yes I would, I realy would..
can you help?
