While I don't recollect ever sending a file this size I was not aware that
sending large attachments to a. n. other (not to a mailbase) was considered
"rude". When setting up our OOH service we certainly e-mailed both spread-
sheets and largish formatted documents as attachments. I've been e-mailed
singing and dancing Xmas cards which I guess must be 1MB +, though I haven't
kept them to know for sure.
Both C'serve and our local ISP seemed to handle these fine.
Obviously downloading programs or program patches from commercial sites is
done by FTP.
Is there a general consensus about the maximum size of files that can or
should be e-mailed between individuals?
